The GenderAid is a decision aid for genital gender surgery. Here, in addition to supplying reliable and applicable information, safeguarding the interests of the individual is regarded as a priority.

Over the last few years we have been busy working on the initiative to improve 'shared decision-making in genital gender surgery'. The goal of this project is to improve the provision of information by developing an accessible decision aid for genital gender surgery; The GenderAid.
The GenderAid has been developed for, and by, the transgender population. Therefore, collaboration between the community and the researchers at the core of this project.
So far, for this study we have;
conducted 97 interviews,
organised 15 focus groups and,
administered 376 questionnaires
